Conscious Yoga: Ayurveda, Body and Mind
Sunday: Know thy Self - The Art of Conscious Living
About
About This Class - In-Person in Hong Kong / Online via Zoom - Open to all levels, no prior experience required - Language: Primarily Cantonese, supplemented with English when needed - Trauma-informed - Join Anytime – Drop-in sessions available throughout the term "One whose doshas are in balance, whose appetite is good... whose body, mind, and senses remain full of bliss, is called a healthy person." — Sushruta Samhita In Ayurvedic perspective, our inner landscape is governed by three constitutional forces: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. When these energies drift out of balance, they manifest as distinct physical and mental patterns: Vata (Air & Space): Excess leads to anxiety, racing thoughts, insomnia and joint issues Pitta (Fire & Water): Excess triggers anger, inflammation, burnout, and digestive heat Kapha (Earth & Water): Excess causes lethargy, weight gain, attachment, and congestion Traditional yoga was never intended as a mere practice of aesthetics; it was designed to balance these specific forces, to promote the flow of prana, maintaining the equilibrium of your inner ecosystem. In this 10-session journey, we bridge the ancient sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda. You will learn to move beyond the "standard" pose and discover your unique Dosha. We will explore how to align your yoga, diet, and lifestyle with the natural cycles of life, reframing ailments not as problems to fight, but as signals of imbalance from your inner landscape. This course is open to all—from regular practitioners to those seeking a deeper reason for their practice. You do not need to be flexible or have prior knowledge of Ayurveda; you only need a willingness to listen. You will learn about - your own biological constitution - learn how to detox from an ayurvedic approach - learn how to take care of imbalances - learn how to personalise your yoga practice Class Details Location: Room 1602, 16/F, On Tin Centre, 1 Sheung Hei Street, San Po Kong (4-minute walk from Diamond Hill Station Exit A2, Tuen Ma Line) Time: Sundays | 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (2 hours) Dates: May 10, 17, 24, June 7, 14, 21, 28, July 5, 12, 19 (10 sessions) Full Course Fee: $4800 (Limited Offer until May 7th, 2026); $5000 (Standard) May 1st Retreat Participant can redeem $100 discount.
