What to Expect This one-day Functional Yoga workshop provides a deep dive into movement mechanics, breath, and postural alignment. Combining traditional yoga wisdom with modern movement science—including Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), neuroscience, and functional anatomy—you will explore how to create core stability, improve mobility and movement strategy in your yoga/movement practice and daily life. This session is designed for: - Yoga practitioners looking to refine their movement patterns. - Teachers seeking a deeper understanding of functional movement. - Anyone interested in improving posture, breath, and body awareness. - Anyone experiencing restrictions in their arms and shoulder movement who wants to explore natural movements as an aid Through guided movement and anatomy mini-lecture, you will gain insights into how your body functions and how to optimise movement for safety, efficiency, and ease. August Theme: Connecting the Strength and Stability in Your Arms & Core ✔ Hand, Arm, Shoulders and Core Mechanics – Understand the roles of these body parts in movements. ✔ Stability & Strength – Explore techniques to enhance shoulder & core stability and strength ✔ Breath & Alignment – Learn how different breathing patterns influence the function of shoulders and coree. ✔ Asana & Integration – Understand how the shoulder girdles and arms should be activated in yoga postures with weight-bearing on palms and arms.
