"There is no path to peace. Peace is the path." — Mahatma Gandhi In ancient times, yoga was not about performing challenging poses for aesthetics; it was a practice for liberation and a way of living to attain peace. How can we stay peaceful within ourselves at times of chaos and change? What if ancient yoga philosophy can provide us a way of living with more peace? In our modern world, where the physical aspects of yoga often overshadow this profound intention, we risk losing sight of the vast resources of wisdom available for living a fulfilling and balanced life. This course aims to reconnect practitioners with the original purpose of yoga practice, fostering awareness and understanding of how these teachings can guide us toward a balanced, peaceful, and fulfilling life. What to Expect In this course, we will explore the rich tapestry of yogic and Vedic philosophy, examining their foundational principles as we practice yoga. Over 12 sessions, we will engage in asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath control), mudras (hand gestures), and more, while studying the philosophical concepts behind these practices. This course is suitable for all levels; you don't need to be flexible to join. If you are interested in yoga philosophy, wish to practice yoga within the context of ancient yogic and Vedic teachings, or are curious about how yoga can be a way of living that fosters greater peace and fulfillment, you are warmly invited to join us.
